BPI Concepts Team

Who are we?

Susan Gardiner
BEng (Mechanical)(Hons1), BBus (Management & Marketing)
Director and Principal Consultant

Prior to launching BPI Concepts in 2007, Susan has held a number of Process Improvement and Project Management roles in organisations such as Honeywell, Pall Filtration and Coles Myer. Susan started her career as a contract manager in facility and asset management. This was a new business for Honeywell, and she immediately met the need of developing standards and best practices to be utilised across the asset management team. During her tenure, Susan worked closely with a number of different clients including Ansett, Mayne Health, Latrobe Regional Hospital, Colliers Jardine and Colonial Stadium (now Etihad Stadium). Susan also ran a Six Sigma "Greenbelt for Growth" project identifying new business opportunities in the area of Essential Services Management.

At Pall Filtration, Susan expanded the scope of the company's ISO9001 Accreditation to include Project Management within the first month of joining. This improvement allowed her to simultaneously manage multiple filtration projects with clients such as Stanwell Magnesium, BP and Santos. Susan was then promoted to the role of Project Manager of the JP2059 Army Water Purification and Desalination project. Susan delivered the prototype units to the DMO, a feat that 3 previous project managers were unable to manage.

At Coles Myer, Susan drew on her facility and asset management experience working as a Risk Engineer, quantifying and minimising insurance risk presented by the company's owned/operated sites. Whilst a member of this team, she scoped and wrote the business requirements for new risk management software and participated in vendor evaluation. Shortly following, Susan joined the Logistics team to manage a group of analysts focussing on process improvement initiatives across the CML Supply Chain network.

In her spare time, Susan paints, attempts to learn the acoustic guitar, and spends endless hours cleaning up after her German Shepherd.

Dexter Gardiner
German Shepherd Dog Club of Victoria (GSDCV)
General Dogs Body

As a pedigreed German Shepherd, Dexter has a natural tendency to serve and protect, and is an integral part of the company's security outfit. Although still only a puppy, he has developed a unique talent for both entertaining and distracting the hard working BPI Concepts team. With continued development, it is expected that Dexter will become the chief mail collector.

In Dexter's spare time, he enjoys relocating the family's underwear, licking himself in unmentionable places and eating anything putrid.
